Cooking up a Convo is a series of close encounters with interesting people tackling insightful topics over dinner at Alisha’s Café Collective.
Cooking up a Convo with Dr. James Khong: A script for a better life
3 part series: Thursday 1/11 Thursday 8/11 & Thursday 15/11, 6:30pm
At age 77, and after practicing medicine for over 50 years, Dr. James Khong decided it was time for a change of career. Concerned by a level of chronic diseases not unlike an epidemic, he has turned to preventative health practices. Rather than continue relying on prescription drugs, he suggests an approach to wellness based on three pillars: nutrition, physical fitness and mental peace. He is writing a book about this and will share the insights of the lessons he has learned.

In support of Alisha’s Café Collective’s aim of creating happier people and Casa Cultura’s mission of nurturing a collaborative and connected community that embraces and celebrates diversity, we are partnering to offer a series of conversations with inspirational people that bring their knowledge and experience to contribute to our health, confidence, creativity and wellbeing.
These events will be hosted upstairs at Alisha’s Café Collective, over dinner in a relaxed environment making them not at all a lecture, but more of a table-side conversation where questions, retorts and insights are more than welcome.
Want to host your own Cooking up a Convo? Send an outline of your topic to eyal@casacultura.org and we will get in touch.
