Continuing with Casa Cultura‘s That Inspires Respect project, the workshop will support the 2017 Northern Integrated Family Violence Services‘ Week Without Violence campaign, a global campaign to end violence against women.
During the day, we will have a conversation on respect and collectively brainstorm and design a t-shirt for the Clothesline Project, a global initiative to raise awareness about family violence. Visual artist Katherine Gailer (Katherine Gailer Art) will collect everyone’s ideas, execute the design and print a series of t-shirts, which everyone will take home.
Led by Textile Designer Natalie Estay Valenzuela, participants will learn the basic techniques for block printing, and then create and print their own designs.
Strictly limited spaces. Adults $35. Children (8-13) $25 (Children need to be accompanied by a full paying adult). Bookings at http://
