DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, at the Building Bridges exhibition\, a creative workshop for children aged 4 to 10 and parents or grandparents exploring memory and identity. In this workshop\, adults and children will exchange the memories and desires that connect them to the Latin America they left behind or merely imagine possible. This workshop will be led by Gabriela Heinz\, Spanish and theatre teacher\, and translator with over 15 years’ experience. Born in Argentina\, her passion is to share the beauty of her culture and she is particularly interested in working with children.\nCapacity: 20 adults with 1-2 children each. \nUn taller creativo para niños de 4 a 10 años acompañados por sus padres o abuelos\, en el cual explorarán juntos memoria e identidad. En este taller\, niños y adultos intercambiarán recuerdos y anhelos de la Latinoamérica que dejaron atrás en el pasado o la que simplemente imaginan posible. Este taller será guiado por Gabriela Heinz\, profesora de español y teatro\, y traductora con más de 15 años de experiencia. DESCRIPTION:A Voz Limpia is a poetry collective and independent publisher. It gathers storytellers and writers of all persuasions\, mostly from Latin America\, mostly in Spanish\, mostly in Australia. Since 2016\, the group reads once a month at free\, public events\, and has been invited to participate in several festivals and events. A Voz Limpia has published 6 books (3 anthologies featuring over 70 poets in total\, and 3 author books). On this occasion\, the group will gather to present a reading of original writings from six of its regular participants: Raul Sanchez Urribarri\, Grace Amigo\, Oscar Socias\, Cloé Karagozlu\, Alfredo Muñoz and Kalindi Victoria. \nA Voz Limpia es un colectivo de poesía y editorial independiente que reúne poetas\, cuentistas y escritores de toda naturaleza en su mayoría Latinoamericanos\, en su mayoría en español\, en su mayoría en Melbourne. Desde 2016 el grupo convoca una lectura mensual y ha participado en eventos y festivales. Ha publicado 6 libros (3 antologías que comprenden el trabajo de más de 70 poetas y 3 poemarios de autor). In this intimate performance\, the guest musicians will share their story and the role that music has played in shaping their experiences and their identity\, and how it has influenced their connection to the Americas. They will\, of course\, also perform a handful of original and traditional songs from their repertoire. The evening will include performances by Alejandro Vargas\, Ximena Abarca\, Rodolfo Hechavarria Despaigne Panga and Bonnie Smith. \nUn encuentro cercano con un consorte de músicos originarios de América Latino o muy cercanos a ella.
