SUMMARY:Cooking up a Convo with Sarah Gale: Wearing your worth
DESCRIPTION:Cooking up a Convo with Sarah Gale: Wearing your worth.\n\n\n \n\n\nSarah Gale is on a mission to support people in connecting to their authentic Self\, through an unlikely medium: the wardrobe. Following three decades in the fashion industry\, including Judge on Project Runway Australia\, Sarah says that dressing can be used to empower us or disempower us. With all the messages out in society and social media\, Sarah says it is critical that we use the everyday medium of dressing to install positive anchors to go out into the world as our authentic Self\, knowing we are enough and feeling the strength in expressing who we really are. \n\n\nSarah suggests\, a lot of the choices we make about what we wear are unconscious; driven by hidden destructive mindsets and old belief patterns we have formed throughout our lives. Is it any wonder so many people feel wardrobe anxiousness and insecurity about their appearance? Our clothes are a tangible representation of how we feel about ourselves. We just need to know how to listen to what they have to say. If we are stuck it will show up in our wardrobe. If we are hiding and not showing up fully in life – we will see it in our outfits. We have themes within our wardrobes\, that once unveiled\, can be the key to us showing up fully\, expressing our truly beautiful selves and embodying the full power that we are. \n\n\n \n\n\nThursday\, November 22 at 6:30pm\n\n\nUpstairs at Alisha’s Café Collective\n\n\nTickets through www.trybooking.com/ZMRI\n\n\n$30 (Dinner and convo)\n\n\n$10 (Just convo)\n\n\n \n\n\n—————————\n\n\n \n\n\nIn support Alisha’s Café Collective‘s aim of creating happier people and Casa Cultura’s mission of nurturing a collaborative and connected community that embraces and celebrates diversity\, we are partnering to offer a series of conversations with inspirational people that bring their knowledge and experience to contribute to our health\, confidence\, creativity and wellbeing. \n\n\n \n\n\nThese events will be hosted over dinner\, upstairs at Alisha’s\, in a relaxed environment making them not at all a lecture\, but more of a table-side conversation where questions\, retorts and insights are more than welcome.\n\n\n \n\n\nDinner your choice of plate (see below) and a cup of chai.\n\n\n \n\n\nEast of the Middle Plate\n\n\nFlavours from India and its surrounds including rice\, curries\, roti\, spicy pickles and seasonal spiced besan battered veggies.\n\n\n \n\n\nMiddle of the East Plate\n\n\nGateaux Piment (Mauritian chili cake)\, brown lentil rice\, seasonal Moroccan spiced veggies\, haloumi cheese\, warm pita bread\, baba ganoush\, hommus and besan floured veggies.\n\n\n \n\n\nWest of the Middle Plate\n\n\nDeep fried polenta\, mushroom rago\, pesto roast pumpkin\, balsamic Caprisi salad\, pasta salad with chili oil\, grated zucchini and parmesan\, lentil Bolognese sauce and antipasti bits with crusty garlic bread.

SUMMARY:Circle Singing with Bonnie Smith
DESCRIPTION:Circle Singing is discovering your vocal expression through improvisation\, movement and experimentation. You don’t have to call yourself a singer to be a part of the circle. It is about being in a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your creative potential. Circle singing doesn’t require perfection\, rather a willingness to connect deeply with your voice\, sing with an open heart and listen with big ears! Be prepared to be open minded\, be prepared to take risks\, be prepared to be ridiculous\, and be prepared for the unknown! \nBonnie Smith is a singer\, composer\, piano player and guitarist. World music extraordinaire\, she sings in Spanish\, French\, Portuguese\, Turkish and English. She has travelled extensively throughout the Americas and Europe where she has taken her music on the road. She is one of the primary vocal teachers at Melbourne Polytechnic and lead facilitator of “Circle Singing”\, which explores the art of improvising in the moment. With over ten years of experience teaching to adults and children\, she understands the journey of music as a self-help tool and loves teaching for fun and joy. She relishes in the benefits singing and music can provide to gain a deeper sense of connection to one’s self and others. \nUpstairs at Alisha’s Café Collective\, 313 Lygon Street Brunswick East\nEvery Sunday from 3:00pm\nStarts November 18\n$25/session\nBook your spot through www.trybooking.com/ZHQK
