Latin Stories Australia in conjunction with Casa Cultura and Momentum Psychology are delivering a series of FREE workshops for Latin American women focused on social and professional participation in Australian life, women empowerment, cultural diversity, isolation and sense of belonging. These workshops will take place between 20 of July and 26 of October 2019 in nine different areas across Victoria.
Continuing with Casa Cultura‘s That Inspires Respect project, the workshop will support the 2017 Northern Integrated Family Violence Services‘ Week Without Violence campaign, a global campaign to end violence against women. Casa Cultura’s Meet-Ups are an informal gathering to network, share projects and ideas, kick off collaborations and find support in a community. Guest speaker Julian Silverman presented on how to write a successful grant application, with tips and suggestions to improve the chances of a positive outcome.
Guest speaker Trinidad Estay from Multicultural Arts Victoria presented the portfolio of projects that are in course and in planning for the next 12 months, and all the opportunities for participation (artists, technical crew and volunteers) that exist in connection to these projects.

Two master classes led by Juan Andrés and Nicolás Ospina, two world-class Colombian musicians visiting Melbourne to perform at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. The workshops focused on Harmonic Chanting and Arrangement.
When Spanish duo Za! visited Melbourne, Casa Cultura was approached to co-produce a conducted improvisation workshop. It attracted 13 musicians of 8 nationalities. The activity was held at 4DVerse Studios, a community creative space in St. Kilda and produced in cooperation with the General Consulate of Spain in Australia.
